When I still had hopes that this could turn out to be a real Baldur's Gate sequel (or at least a spiritual successor), the Origins system bothered me a lot - it is basically an antithesis to BG's (almost blank slate) main char. Since I realized this is going to be much closer to DOS than to any Infinity Engine game, it is not bothering me nearly as much, but I would still much rather see the resources allocated somewhere else - i.e. fleshing out the experience when playing the custom character or just adding content not bound to selecting a specific origin character. Or implementing a day/night cycle. Or better controls. Or making the world not seem like half a square kilometer area.
