Out of curiosity, what program are you using to go between Windows and Linux (Lindows?)
I'm trying to make the switch though not finding a good program (well thoroughly tested at least) that allows me to run both. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I hope i understanding you right: you search for a program where you can start windows programs on linux ? You can use VMWare but you must buy it or you take Wine for free.

The difference between VMWare and Wine are: VMWare simulate a complete intel-based PC and Wine emulate the most of the Windows-API-Calls. You need for both a fast cpu and a lot of ram. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

If you asked for a GNU/Linux-distributation: for newbies are RedHat, SuSE or Mandrake good. I can you give an adivise: get a few different distributions, test and compare they yourselve and use one.
