Is there a way to end concentration at will?
It should be, because when I cast eg. Fog Cloud it won't go away long after the fight is over.

I don't know if there is, but do you have any cantrips that require concentration? That can be used to break it in an ersatz manner.

I had the same issue. My cleric died and I had to waste a spell slot to move fog and res her.
