Hi first time poster, long time Larian, DoS, BG, etc. RPG gamer.
Here are some first impressions of Baldur's Gate 3 on Google Stadia after a couple hours of play. I'll refrain from commentary on BG3's story and the good/bad/ugly of D&D 5th edition rules.

tl;dr if you have a high end PC and don't care about other screens, get the PC version. If you don't, Stadia with a controller works.

Good:

+ Graphics at 4k are great. The in-game cinematics are awesome. Audio is good.
+ Auto saves only cause a brief stutter and are pretty seamless.
+ Load time is a bit slow for a Stadia game but very fast compared to DoS on PC (SSD). A few seconds to load the game, a few more to get into it. About 10 seconds from start to playing.
+ I can't tell I'm streaming while playing.
+ Cross saves say they've uploaded. I haven't tested loading on another platform yet. You need to link Stadia in your Larian account to get this. Not sure how normal people would ever find it.

Meh:
- Stadia controller is clearly a WIP. It's very difficult to select the correct action. Camera controls are good. I'm concerned that DoS style controls and DD 5e complexity will never translate into easily used controls, regardless of action wheels and other usability tricks.- Manual saves and quick saves are awkward with a controller. Would love a quick save shortcut on the controller.
Bad:

- Graphics when below 4k are still good but the small text becomes blurry too easily. This wasn't a bandwidth issue. Details below.
- Lots of camera glitches and occasional model pops. I would assume this is a WIP on all platforms.
- Time consuming to select the correct enemy target with the controller. There should be a nearby target toggle in addition to the loot select toggle.
- Action bar doesn't remember where I was per character, so I have to repeat the controller strokes to get back to, e.g., melee strike.
- Stadia on a Macbook was unplayable at first. I had to rebind a lot of keys just to get the camera and selection functioning. Even after that it was incredibly awkward compared to DoS with m/k on PC. Thankfully the controller fairs better. Larian devs are clearly PC m/k folks.

My Specs:
Macbook Air 2020, latest Chrome, keyboard and touchpad (no separate mouse)
Samsung 55" 4k TV, Chromecast Ultra, Google Stadia ControllerCable broadband, 250 Mbps down, 20 Mbps up.
Lots of Zoom and Netflix going on while I'm gaming with no bandwidth issues.

I usually game on PC but I'm holding off on buying the Steam version of BG3 until 1.0, though I'd love to hear Mac native with touchpad impressions.

Side note, I've been very happy with Stadia overall. I mostly play RPGs and platformers.
