I sent this in the Larian Discord, but I figured I should post it here too. I don't think this is a bug, but entirely possible that it is. Either way, something to look at:

Whether or not you speak to a companion first in camp affects dialogue so much for no apparent reason. After the first dream triggered by the tadpole where the person visits you, whichever companion you talk to first gets a full version of their conversation, while the other companions lose part of their conversation. (All companions are affected by this, but in Wyll and Lae's case, you go from having several dialogue choices if you talk to them first to none if you don't.) I see no reason for this. A good example of a change to a conversation based on the order you speak to someone: Astarion in this same conversation will have a line referencing that you spoke to someone else first (something about "telling everyone about your dreams"). This makes sense; it's a foreseeable "consequence" of speaking to someone else first. But taking away almost an entire conversation just because I didn't talk to someone first does not make sense, and most players won't even know they're missing out. And I just give one example here, but I know this happens in some other camp conversations where you can speak to your whole group about their reactions to something.

I figured I'd document each conversation this issue affects in a new playthrough. One of the first nights at camp, during the set of "why aren't we getting any ceromorphosis symptoms" conversations with your companions, you can lose multiple dialogue choices if you don't speak to certain companions first. Specifically, if you speak to Lae'zel first, you get multiple dialogue choices, then if you do not speak to her first, you get none. Shadowheart's dialogue is different whether you speak to her first or not, but logically so. I didn't test Wyll or Astarion because they weren't in my party yet, and a cutscene with Gale begins when you first set up camp, so his dialogue is unaffected.
