Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General orcs not invited? not a spoiler

One of my <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mage.gif" alt="" /> styles of playing is to have an orc drummer
tear up rivertown poor section. When ALL the guards
are dead then and only then do i pick up the booty.
( if you dont know why!! your off to prison LOL ).
I do the same to the barracks (you can do this twice);
market section, Mitox section, Dwarven town.
Dwarven town is the hardest. Do it with a huge orc as
he lasts longer. I have picked up lots of gold,
charm stones, and other goodies. i have even tried
to force them into stormfist; but either they
dont have an invite or they are more interested in me.
I have been thinking of orc archers attacking the
guards on the walls. I can do my famous fade from
sight spell. LOL. I wonder if the archers guild is
protected?
BTW: all the residents of market place are driven
into the outer areas.

HAhah. I accidentally killed all the guards in the barracks by running one of those big elite orcs up there. I thought they would protect me but they all got killed.

Good idea though. See if any other places can be destroyed like that =)

Ralph died ( he allmost did ) Would Commander
Kratus take over in the plague Quest arrest?
( notice how ambigious that question was?)

The shrimpo monster is more effectieve in killing guards. Just have your stamina potions ready. He is fast. killed all guards in the game (except the sormfist ones) with one run And after that I still had trouble killing him.

But if you got all that money from killing everyone, who would you buy everything off if they're all dead? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

Programmers protect the nessary people for
Quests. IE: drop you poison bottles next
to janus or elona in stormfist. You take
dammage they dont.

Sidenote: due to a certain style of play
garath dies. PERMENANTLY unless you
do the quest early in the game.

Im curious,do dwarves drop anytihng good?

I got 2 yellow stones from the town crier group.
fire and sprit. one lev 3 shield, most of everything
else was gold 30 to 60, one red stone (jeweler in
tavern).
the usuall carrot, apple, tomatos LOL.

I didn't have so much trouble with the big orcs as I was pretty high lvl by the time I wandered over there. The ones that got me were those 'special insane skelatons' or somesuch... they are really nasty at lower level! I had to drag one into the elven village and he took out a couple elves before they finally knocked him down... I think they put them in there to cut down on the potion supply in the game! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />

I got shrimpo to attack all the guards in the barracks were general alix was and he murdered all of them and one of the gaurds dropped a spell book.

Also if they are not many guards around and their comrades are killed you can take the stuff they dropped.

I think it is becuase they cant see you or becuase of reputation(one or the other im betting on they cant see you)
