Just finished , with all the bugs I had to dodge there, is there a list of things to be wary of with ?

Install the patch. Lockpick is does not currently work. Each act change is a one way trip, so you need to complete all quests and take any loot you want with you. In act 2, do not find the way off the starting island yourself, you are suppose to be shown the way. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Don't forget to make a lot of savegames.

In Act 2 and Act 3 a special quest is the last one and you don't know it.
When you are in these special quests you can't go back and you can't finish the other quests.
You can also lose important items even your pyramids if you don't take care to have them in your inventory when you begin the last main quest.

Be careful too with your items in the battlefields and in "the necromancer's quests"

In act 2 once you get to the imp village, the first time you leave you will be summoned away. Don't leave by trying to enter the BF, then enter and leave the BF from the new location (you will miss the summon quest that way). Walking out of the village, being summoned and then entering and leaving the BF is ok.

The end of act triggers (after which the game becomes linear leading up to the end, and other quests can not be completed) are;
act 2 - giving 3 items to the alchemist
act 3 - accepting a certain witch's challenge

I was just about to ask.. since there are "Acts", are there distinct markers telling me when an act will change? Or is there a primary task to complete before you move on?

There is no clear warning of the end of act, though the main quests are usually obvious. In act 1 there are 2 ways to enter act 2, and you can complete any remaining quests before doing so.

Barta; you are correct. I am just before this point, so was being a bit conservative. I know you have to accept the witch's challenge to talk to the bishop to enter the catacombs, but wasn't sure where the point of no return was.

@ Larian people

It would have been better if at the end of act 2, the alchemist imp had said something like :

[color:"orange"]Do you have something to finish before to leave ?
Come and see me when you'll be ready to go away. [/color]

And the same thing for Act 3.

It is very frustrating to be at the end of Act 3 and to realise that there are 4 or 5 quests unsolved.

I still have one of my pyramids near a merchant shop and i am going to try to finish my quests in Act 3 before beginning Act 4.

Be sure to read ALL the books you find. If you dont then you probably will miss the ranaar language books. I missed book 2 and 3 and now I need them to finish a quest in act 4. Im sorta stuck because I missed one book in act 2 and one in act 3 and there is no way to get back and read them.

I missed them although I have read all the books I have found but I guess thoose language books are pretty hard to find.

I don't think it is *required* that you read all the language books is it? I mean, I missed at least one as well and was able to finish the game without any problems.

It's not that difficult to guess the language of the Raanar: the letters are similar to latin alphabet.
Since I figured out that the message on the box was " Arch Enemies Lost In A Dark Ralm Soul Forged For Ethernity" guessing the raanar scripts wasn't difficult .
