I CANT get into the game, Ive tried EVERYTHING, Ive reinstalled the game 10 times, restarted it when it said after installation each time, then I tried 10 times every time I got that stupid msg when trying to run the game. IM ABOUT TO GO INSANE! Someone, PLEASE help!

Sadly, no help =( I emailed support@larian.com to see if they can help, I will never return this game unless its my LAST option. Damnit, this is the second game in 2 days that I got this kind of problem with, and I really wanted both... Well, if you get any more ways I could possibly get it to work, please help.

What is the other game where you're having problems with? And is it the same sort of problem? Maybe it helps to see if there is a certain link.

this game uses a disk copy protection program so some firewall and antivirus programs might get in the way. try shutting down your firewall (like ZONEALARM) and see if it works.

If possible.. Try to format your pc, Re-Install windows and install BD then, I had those errors loads before with games its mostly random software you have installed that ruins it all, I formatted my pc after I couldnt find out what was wrong, re-installed those games and worked fine, but this is just your last possibility don't format unless theres no other option(s) left. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

There are simplier solutions than a full system reinstall.
You can try to defragment your hard drive. If it won't help, it won't hurt anyway.
Check for spyware with Lavasoft's Ad-Aware.
Disable Norton Autoprotect if you have it. Remove unnecessary programs. Check for suspicious programs running in the background. It could well be a worm, a RAT or some other poisonous vermin.
Finally, check for hardware conflicts.
