Its free, completly free. I played for about a year as well (Not very often but often enough. Then got bored) for a free online RPG its not bad.

Now that we mentioned "free" there was a thread some weeks ago with a free on line RPG which I found very interesting. I don´t remember who posted it. My memory betrayed me. Does anybody remember that? I would like to try it but I have lost the link

I tried Tibia. I wasn't overly impressed. The gameplay seemed very slow (nothing to do with my connection). For an action RPG, I don't want to waste time travelling. But that's me. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Hehe! If it had good graphics then it ISNT kingdom of loathing. I think the one you mean is called Adventure Quest or something like that.

Luc. Do you mean that online-RPG Guildwars? Yes it had outstanding graphics and was for free, but during E3 only. The game is scheduled for release somewhere this fall.

It's an MMO but it has no monthly subscription fees despite the fact that it's frequently updated. Good idea, really.
