In Act I, I have found BF keys 1 and 2, and I am about to assault Samuel's lair in the citadel, having given a thorough sword-cleansing to the citadel barracks and training grounds areas. The thing is, when I go into the Act I/BF 2/lvl 1 dungeon there are no creatures. There is treasure and goodies to pick up but nothing attacks me. This seems odd, considering the game. Is this the way the first level of Act I, BF2 is supposed to be? Am I missing something? I thought once I scored the second key, the second BF would be fully functional. As it is, the entrance is unlocked but currently I have no "opponents". Any suggestions? Help?

Please, tell me, which version are you playing? I'm a bit concerned about a dungeon without enemies..
About not finding a boss enemy and/or a quest item => dungeons, bosses and items are generated randomly, so this is ok, if you don't find a solution in one of the end levels. Solutions are in the 3rd level always - but not in everyone.

Possibilities:
Several enemies/items in the 3rd lvl
None

That's good point Kiya -- I too wondered if it was an older version glitch. I never did check for patches when I started the game. That'll be my next step. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Please, take care of this => don't download the English version, if you have the Australian and vice versa. Starforce versions are different. So, look, which one you have ok?
Patching will have no effect on the current BF Act (as it is generated the 1st time you enter the BF) - but on the one in the next Act. Patches normally take effect in-game at once - though I'm wondering about one quest bug in Act 2... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

Kiya--
I'm running the USA version, and nope, I wouldn't DL a non-US patch. I wonder, once I get the third key, if the A-1/BF2/L1 will re-populate. If not, I guess I going to get coin and goodies the easy way on that BF level. I just hope the other lvls aren't glitched the same way.

It was just the second dungeon in the act 1 battlefield that was empty due to a bug (fixed in the patch). Monsters will not respawn in the BF after finding the third BF key.

The patch cured the problem altogether. Not only did AI/BF2/Lvl1 spawn monsters, but BFs 2 and 3 respawned monsters outside as well. (I had already cleared fields 2 and 3 previously). However, and I suspect it's a design oversight, there was one room in AI/BF2/Lvl1, in the far NW corner, that I couldn't enter. I could see it, and uncloud it, but I couldn't go into it. There was an open door but my characters stopped at the entrance to the room. Has this been noted on the forum before? Also, in the lowest level in BF2, there were no opponents. Just a belt. No boss monsters to fight. Seems anticlimactic. Is this common in BD BFs?

I had an interesting bug in one of the Act II battlefields. There were plenty of monsters, but they never attacked me. I could just walk up to all of them and easily kill them. After they were dead, they would drop up to 3000 trap materials, or arrows. To heavy to pick up!! They also always dropped 250+ gold. This only happened once, and yes, this was after I installed the 1.45 patch.


Don't do today, what you can put off till tomorrow.

Someone else mentioned not being able to walk through a door in the BF by clicking inside the room, but if they held the left mouse button down to guide the characters they could enter.

Boss monsters and quest items are placed randomly on the third level of the BF dungeons, so you may find none, one or multiple items/monsters in any particular dungeon.
