Aah, One, great song.

I love Alter Bridge, the new band of Marc Trimonti (actually just creed with new vocals), guitarplay has improved so much since the beginning of Creed. If you liked Creed you'll prolly love Alter-Bridge. Try their song Metalingus.

Back to metallica I found some very old material of the band, their first demo's, suprisingly good for a starting band. Metal Militia ring any bells?

Apocalyptica is a string quarted who have played many Metallica songs (of course they have their own). They also have a guitar.. The genre can be characterized as alternative.

Aaah, them! I've heard of them but haven't acually heard them.

More about Yes here : http://entertainment.msn.com/music/netcal/?netcal=1004

Also : http://nfte.org/ (without any "www"). It's called after "Notes from the Edge" - after their 20-Minutes masterpiece "Close to the Edge".

talk about apocalyptica, yes, i have heard of them. i am not & never will be a fan of metallica (& also music similar to those hair metal sound) but i must say, apocalyptica made metallica's songs into something not of this world. in another words; it rocks ****ing hell!

using strings (my guess: violin, viola, cello, etc) to play those songs are really cool & enjoyable for a long drive back home from work.

as for joe hisaishi & yoko kanno, have u tried the link i provided in my previous post, razorUED? i'm sorry to hear that their works aren't easily available at your place. i can imagine though, as it's very hard as well in malaysia to find works that are not britney spears, maroon 5, ..... *pukes* i hate even spelling those names that pollute the airwaves.

Hellsing? well if u like Led Zeppelin & 70's rock music, then Hellsing OST is for u! i love it! in fact, i've been tryign to locate the 2nd OST for Hellsing here in malaysia. again i have to tell u; it's really tough to look for something good. but it's worth it.

@ ubereil -> i think the Cure defines New Wave music which washed the airwaves in the 80's. so musically, the Cure is indeed legendary, just like how Jimi Hendrix made guitar look cool, just like how Beatles made rock cool, how Neil Young started grunge sound, etc. i think power pop is defined by the Cure as well.

Well, it's up to you to decide whetwer to use it or not.
I really like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and.. Jesus Christ Superstar. And such music on the whole

Looks like yoko kanno wrote music for several cult animes. Then it'll be easy to find her songs (as I mentioned before I met some good guys).

LUCRETIA, that was something. I even can't determine where is the name of the band and where is the song title. Let me make a guess - artists are on the left? err.. I seem to recognise some (The Cure and Covenant), but still I have no idea what kind of music it is.

Your guess is right!

Artist on the left, song title on the right.
It is a strange kind of music. Some of that groups are Post Punk, Dark wave, Gothic etc. I do not stuck on labels. Try to listen some of them. Just for the fun of it Perhaps you will find something that you will like.

Wolfsheim is a german rather electronical-oriented group. They make quite good songs, I've heard them several times here on german radio.

Just made the big order ! BTW my mother ordered a CD from a band she saw on the culturral news. They're called Interpol and are influenced by 80's bands like Joy Division and Talking Heads (both were on your list, Luc). And my mother ordered this [Linked Image].

My mum listens to Dire Straits and the like. And when Private Investigations is th e darkest she's got, you know there is something wrong if she buys something from a group inspired by Joy Division and The Talking Heads. And I don't think it's because she's the hell of a lady (to be honest.). About Interpol, I saw (half...) Cure Icon yesterday, and heard that Cure and Interpol tour together. Sounds like something I might whant to listen to (listens to Disintegration for the moment).
And I have no idea.Erm... You where robbed? Attacked? Raped? Something like that? No? Shure? You are? Oh well...

PS Stupid Pictures of You ending! There's something wrong with it, it allways start hacking (might be Swenglich... Oh well) when I listen at the computer ! DS

I ment that your mom must be a nice person.

I would not be robbed because I give my money freely to anyone who needs it.
I would not be attacked because I am the one who is attacking usually.
I would not be raped because I believe in the strange philosophy that If you are not able to avoid something bad that it is ment to happen to you, then the only thing you have to do is to enjoy it.
I am positive.

Here. Download those three songs. They are great. You said that you have not heard Bella Morte before. Just hit the above link.

I will in time...
And I am negative (or realistic as I like to see it, but that's just hideing the fact, isn't it?). When pepole think it's nice that the sun is shineing I say that you can get skincancer. Acually that's what I did. I wasn't extremely serious, but still it's a fact.

Ah no problem Ubereil. Everyone has his/her point view in life. I enjoy to see how people think in some cases. And yes I know you were not so serious.
