I have noted that useing the Alt or is it the Ctrl key, whatever one shows items in the area does not always show "Everything" thats in your area.
I have noted that things that are near a wall even if they are in your line of site will not come up with this quick key. I have a feeling I have missed a few items becouse of this!

Its been awhile since I have played so I forgot some (ok most) of the little tricks etc. Most things are not listed in the manual like how do you pick up a single item, 1 coin for instance from inventory or heal others with potions etc.

If someone could at least tell me how to see items that the alt key may not pick up please do.

No trick, Sheba - I just prick my ears if I finish an enemy near a wall (hear if something falls) and then move my mouse patiently and slowly over the spot, the description shows up then. Another sign is a short flash, if the enemy drops something.

Healing others with potions : impossible. But you can heal your scorpions with restoration, by right clicking on them and having the spell activated.

Picking up an single item in your inventory: drag it out and shortly before you let go, press CTRL - window pops up.

Thanks Kiya!

But some of the things I am looking for are there before battle. And you are correct most things make a noise when dropped "most" its the ones that don't make much of a clatter or are just there waiting to be picked up I am afraid I might miss!

As for the useing the mouse...lot of space to check with that little pointer

Oh, I just check the wall area with the mouse. And go over every barrel, chest etc. just to check if there's something in there, cause they don't show up with ALT.

Just means I need to take a little more time ....good test of patience, and as you can see by my sig I have loads of that.
