i found out a cool trick to kill any tough monster.
to avoid being killed by tough monsters that are following you summon a couple of scorpions then use the Mage's evade from site skill. the monster will stop following you and the scorpions will take good care of him.
its also an easy way to gain more experience if there are a lot of monsters around you

Yah, thats a good idea, but I think it was either Raze or jvb or Kiya that already thought of it.

Wasn't me, and I don't recall seeing this particular variation mentioned; I don't use summoned creatures much, and have not played a mage. Can you summon a rat across a river, or through grates the of the room in the sewer, etc? That could be a handy way to teleport around, with no need to have both your teleporter stones with you.

News for me, too
I play mage but never bothered to use this skill or work with summoned (just a short while with scorpions for testing). I prefer the crush-'em-with-magic-tactic
Kiya

Raze, I once tried to get into the closed sewer area by switching with the lizard mage(swap location, special move): Char's reaction = "Something is blocking my way", although I saw him and had his description with the health bar shown.

Raze, evade from site = fade from sight? making yourself invisible? This is the only mage skill I know dealing with this matter
