How many spells are there that gain you no apparent advantage (save cooldowns) of having a high intelligence beyond the minimum attribute effectiveness(MAE)?

For instance casting wildfire with 8 intelligence(MAE) is the same as casting it with a 20 intelligence mage. In my limited early game experience rain works the same way making everyone wet disregarding any checks. Are summons the same as well along with every buffing spell cast on allies? What about buffing spells cast on enemies? If my presumptions are correct I would like to make a list of these sorts of spells.

Yes on everything except DEBUFF spells on enemies, I think. Those all show a % chance to succeed based on your int.

What about buffing spells on enemies such as Immune to Burning? The wiki doesn't mention it but in game I am fairly certain I saw it lowers water resistance.

I recently did an all hybrid playthrough where most of my spells were used at, or below, the INT requirement and I found a lot of the environmental affects were still very useful. Even if the direct damage from flare wasn't great using combos to create coke points and block LoS was essential time and time again.

Like you mentioned there's several debuffs that ignore saving throws, for example rain and bitter cold is a fantastic way to freeze almost anything.

Other than reducing the cooldown, sdditional INT increases the damage of the spells and the chance of getting past saving throws.

I am not 100% sure about the Destroy Summon damage.
