A lonely figure walked with a disparate jaunt down the street of Verdistis, with a melancholy smile on her face, she observed the populace talking, arguing laughing, working, and simply having a life.
She remembered days like that, some years ago, or was it eons? She smirks wryly at the thought, hmm what a Hero I am here I saved a whole country from oblivion, and what .... I am just another bum, walking the streets, sure I have money, I learned a lot and now what, sometimes I hear an Ol' Timer talking about the 'conflict' and about the person who saved them, but otherwise .... I mean really was it worth it??
In desparation she walked into the now "famous" Inn, grumbles when she sees the sign on the wall "the Hero of Rivellon staid here" "ask for a brochure".
She saunters up to the bar looks at the orc behind the counter, with a scowl orders a goblet of wine and requests a 'Hero Brochure', the Orc smiles, showing yellowing Canines, and says "sure cutie, that will be 5 gold, up front".
The Elven woman looks at the Orc as if he's crazy, mutters something that sounded vaguely like " bugger and you sister too" turned on her heels and stomped smack into the body of a man, who said "Hey watch it, willya!!" the man looked at the woman's face and says " hey you are the girl that cleaned the Abbey out aren't you? "
The 'Girl' looks at the man and replies sarcastically " Yeah and what of it!"
The man smiled a broad smile showing glittering white teeth, and invites her to sit down for a drink, with a letme tell you something look on his face.
"See", the man says "this is what happened after you left" ..............................................................
