I am looking for a little guidance.
I cannot seem to mod my game (D:OS - EE running on Mint 17). 1st off I tried applying the mod file supplied as an optional extra in BaardVaark's "Scales" makeover -FAIL.
So after some comms with Raze & Abraxas in the 'Bugs & Issues' forum, I came here...
Has anyone out there successfully modded their Linux version or is it me being a dumbass?
To get to basics I've tried to take the ItemCombos.txt out of the Main.pak archive and put it at the appropriate place for where a modded one might go. The result was that I no longer received the warning message about "corrupted/damaged blah-blah not being able to play online" (cut down, but I'm sure you know the one I mean), so obviously the game saw the file as being the original, official one, but as far as crafting was concerned - nothing I tried worked.
I've tried it with both MainLSF.pak present and renamed - as suggested by Abraxas.
Any thoughts?....
