-KotOR's music was superb, and John Williams was rarely heard, so Kudos to Bioware
-The music in Syberia was excellent, very melancholy, but it suited the feel of the game down to the ground
-Final Fantasy 3/6 - Considering this game was on a 16 bit console, all I can do is shake my head in awe. Truly moving, truly fantastic. You cant explain this, you have to experience it.
- Beyond Good and Evil....I have the main musical tracks as Mp3's and listen to them regularly
The importance of music in games? It is basically the icing on the cake, the game itself needs to be good to be enjoyable, but a great soundtrack lifts it above and beyond. When you walk around in real life with a game theme stuck in your head, the creators have hit a chord.
With a great theme, it is as much a part of the game as the graphics, plot, and gameplay! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
