I'm not shure if you have started on the project for divine divinity 2 but Im curious i noticed in these forums you had a selection of good neutral and evil in our profiles.

in DD2 will we be able to choose our alignments?

You can in Divine Divinity. You're welcome to steal, kill, etc. The populace will respond accordingly. Even evil can want to prevent the end of the world.

hmmm have you actually played divine divinity right through untill the end of the game? lol..... i hate to tell you this m8 but you cant kill towns people in it... not only that there are no evil aligned quests in the game and finally your ultimate goal in DD is to save rivillon all the quests & entire story is for good characters not an evil character. The characters you select in the game are all good aligned too. None of them are evil.

the entire game is based on doing goody goody things. Unlike baldurs gate 1 & 2 were you could actully play as a villin.

I've played it through, but as a goodie. I don't do evil well.

Could an evil person not do good deeds in order to obtain access to greater evil? The Devil will do you a favour in return for your suffering. I see your point that the quests are all designed with a good charater in mind. The evil way out is to either ignore or kill them. Then you get little or no experience.

If it wasn't for the lack of experience rewards, you probably could complete Divine Divinity as a selfish, murderous [nocando]. Except you'd have to start kidnapping the Council members...

I need to stop thinking against my own arguments...

yeah i tried to play it through as a evil theif char but i couldnt so i was forced to play a goodie.

hopfully DD2 will have more selective characteristics for custom creation. not jus appearance but also your characters beliefs and morals. thats whta ive always liked about D&D

if DD2 had somthing like that i could firmly say it would be the #1 rpg game all around. at least in my view anyways

my tips for being evil:
1)carry a big mace and smash all the little chilren in verdistis
2)if you want to be evil carry poison potions, then throw em at people, they choke to death on the poison.(very good for mass murdering and no loss off rep.
and 3)tell everyone to **** off when they talk to you then mace em good.

hope this helps you become evil.

P.S. yes, i know, you still be a good guy but just play along ok?

Strange, why do people want to be evil ? I cannot understand it.
