Hello everyone,
One of the first things I have discovered about this Game, much to my dismay, is the worthlessness of offensive magic due to everyone and his dog having Magic armor.
Since Necromancy is the only magical skill which causes physical damage , any advice for a necro build? best compatible skills? Thanks

What do you wanna hear.. necro works great with physical damage, that is warfare warrior, rogue or ranged to some degree. Tadaaa laugh

To be more elaborate, it doesnt deal that much damage to justify stacking int for it, so just go for your main damage attribute and use necro skills as support skills and for healing.

Just as I feared.
I take the best use for pure caster would be heal + support aka hydro plus geo.
What about summoner? Does It have better synergy with hydro or marksman?

summoner works with everything in my opinion.

And to your fear of magic being too weak - i am rocking 3 mage party and doing excelently well, because you know... there is physical armor aswell, and also almost everybody has it :P

I recommend you to try what you like, because forums are usually full of whiners =)

Really? I tried tactician and magic armor was too difficult to tear apart compared with physical. Melee Weapons help a lot while spells cooldown cannot be reduced with Int like in the prequel. It pisses me how most enemies can now resist status like poison or burning.

Well you can take about 3 times as much magical skills tho.. I wont lie to you, the key to victory is elemental affinity, with that talent mages are really deadly. Paired with skills like death wish... you can melt multiple enemies per turn.

Interesting. How can EA be better exploited? While there are spells to create surfaces, making the mage resistant to them (fire, elec, poison) is a different matter. Also, spending AP to make the surface in the first place.
