Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Has anyone noticed this new problem in Act3 BF?

Post V1.4 Patch I check the vendor Olaf in Act III and there is a real problem with his inventory. Nothing he has matches name, stats, and item icon. Examples:

A staff: is named Dog's Plate Boots
A Spear: is named Normal Arrow
A Crushing weapon: is named Apprentice's Hunter's Bow of the Imp
A 2-H Axe: is named Regeneration Spiked Belt of Reflexes
A Training Sword: is named Ranger's Emerald Ring of Amazement
A Short Bow: is named Ranger's Silver Ring of Granite
A Crossbow: is named Holy Sandals of the Damned
A Rod: is named Asmodheus Leggings

Everything else in the inventory has similar incorrect names. So I bought the Training Sword (named Ranger's Emerald Ring of Amazement) and it is in my inventory as an Armor item, rather than a weapon, but when I click to equip it then is goes to the weapon slot on my character. Name is still incorrect and when I unequip it, it returns to the Armor page, not the weapon page in my inventory.

The stats on the Training sword are stats you normally find on a ring. I am afraid to buy anything because I'm not sure what effects it will have in combat.

The vendor Elkar has the same problem with the one weapon in her inventory. It is named Dragon's Rags Gloves Black, and the stats appear to be meant for an armor item, not a weapon.

Same problem with the vendor Brian with all of his items.

I'm using v1.44 and I had the same problem with vendors. Also near the end of Act 3, every item I picked up had no stats, just white lettering. For example, all the arrows I picked up were labeled "Quivers." When I advanced to Act 4 items were back to normal. Stats were back and lettering was based on item type. Weird bug I guess.

Update to patch 1.45 NightOwl, that bug has been fixed.

Poisonous Ranaar Club shows as a Helmet still. (Found at cursed abbey) forgot the name whats it called in BD. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

And a Ranaar Spear shows up as a Ring. (Found in battlefields alot)

I bet theres more of those, I had "Object****" Items too before"

Quivers and Oak. Everything is Oak. An Oak shield, an Oak sword, and Oak skirt, all with the same description and selling at the same price. Glad to know things will go back to normal in Act 4.

anybody that managed to equip two swords for example answer <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/question.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />.
and the ranar club isint that found in alchemists forest(cant remember the name )

you did install 1.45 patch right?

when you load your save game after updating to 1.45 patch, the first thing that will happen is the game will notice a problem with the items and ask you to let it correct the problem. do this.

if you want to do any item manipulations using the inventory file swap methods described by Raze, you better load all previous save games as well to get the item problem corrected, otherwise your inventory files will be corrupt and completely goof up your character's inventory on the good game. trust me on this one .:heh:.

you should have seen what he was wearing or had equipped. the images were correct i believe but the names and stats were all wrong. was pretty funny.
also everything was red until i moused over the item.
