TOMORROW TOMORROW! I pretty much lost a semester of college to BG1. Can't wait to ruin my career to BG3!

Now that the GOG button is on BG3's page, I'm guessing it will be up at 10AM PDT. Where are you buying from?

I'm pretty sure I'm going GOG. Hopefully cross platform isn't too clunky.

Steam for me. I like to keep my library consolidated and it's nice that everyone on my friends list will see I'm playing BG3 so they can leave me alone.

Steam since thats where 99% of my games are.

I only use GoG for things that can't be found on Steam.

GOG. Call me old-fashioned, but I prefer to own my games and having workable physical copies of my games just in case =)

Stadia since I don't have a computer capable of running it. Good thing I will be able to play it immediately.

Will probably get a upgraded PC for the 1.0 though.

I'm settling for Steam, since that is where almost half of the D&D games I own are.

I just use GOG for things that Steam doesn't offer. Steam it is.

Stadia for me! I've actually kind of enjoyed playing games on Stadia recently. But then again, I was an early adopter of GeForce now too. I like the idea of streaming games. I just want the customizability that PC will give you at some point.

Eventually I'll probably get it on Steam too. Probably on official release.

GOG for me, DRM free. I like GOG's business model supporting old games and DRM free, now if only they gave a little more to the publisher/developer...

Possibly a taboo question, but is there a difference in Larian's cut of the game's price between Steam and GOG?

Steam. Stadia is already doomed to fail.

Not Stadia because I disapprove of "streamed games" - I buy it, I own it.

Also on Stadia (due to current PC constraints) for now. Hope to see some of y’all in Faerun:)

Steam. Hoping it will eventually come to Geforce Now.

Pros/cons:

Stadia: No download time, no waiting for patches to download every time you launch the game, game is optimized for Stadia so probably fever bugs, I don't have recommended hardware specs so performance should be better. Cant play in 21:9 mode.
Steam: Where my friends are. Will probably be platform of choise if there is no cross platform multiplayer at launch.

I would like to buy the game direct from Larian, without any intermediaries. That option isn't available though, unfortunately.

I want to be forced to install and then run the game on a disgusting, Freedom destroying Operating System. I don't think anybody does. Since there appears to be no GNU+Linux support at the moment, the only way to try and play Baldur's Gate III on GNU is to install Steam and hope that the game will run well under Proton.

I sincerely hope that Larian have tried to make BGIII work on Proton and have solved any bugs.

So I'm guessing on Stadia you have to subscribe to their service, plus buy the game? Or just subscribe to their service?

Trying to figure out the quickest way to get my buddy online, he's got rural internet so 80 gigs will probably take him a day or two.

I don't mind any, but I like GoG most. Really happy to buy from them.

Steam for me, just because all my other games are there. Have fun today!
