First I want to thank Larian Studios for a great game and encourage you to continue the series, or similar games. Also, thanks to all the posters here, although I never asked a single question, I found answers to many by searching and without your info I would probably have had to start the game over at least once due to a lost item or due to a major quest being broken.

I loved the game and will no doubt play it again. The ending however, left me unfulfilled and a little irritated...no, I really didn't expect the hero to do the smart thing and toss the baby down the hole to Hell after the Demon of Lies opened the way, but to carry it out (which of course set the stage for a sequel) was one of the dumbest things he could have done. But I will eagerly await the outcome of this seeming "dumb move".

The game was too short, I was suprised it ended so quickly, but much like Fallout 1, the shortness may lead to more often replays...I've lost count of how many times I've replayed Fallout 1.

Either the game was too easy, or I'm just too good at building a character. I've been playing RPG's for many years and have perfected my character building skills, but by the time figured out that I could set scorpion traps and bind the scorpions to me, it got too easy. Spells like Elemental Hail were too powerful, not only did they do huge amounts of damage they prevented the enemies from fighting back. While the starting catacombs and the first Orc areas were a real challenge, nothing after that was and except for getting caught by suprise by a dragon rider when I was low on health, I can't remember having to do a battle more than once after the catacombs/orc area. With two level 200 scorpions, level 2 skeletal wall, level 2 Summon Demonic Aid and level 2 Elemental Hail, Josephine went down the first time without a whimper. Bump up the above items to level 4 or 5, and she, and her cohorts, went down even faster at the end. The Demon of Lies was a cakewalk and the battle couldn't have lasted more than a few seconds. I know I could have done something to have made it more difficult, but I'm driven to build the best character possible (no cheats though!), play the game to the best of my ability and doing anything less would have taken much the fun out of it for me. Why fight with one hand tied behind your back? C'mon, were talking Saving The World here, it should be a major achievement, not an afternoon tea party. Maybe multiple difficulty levels are needed. If you implement this, please make it possible to switch difficulty level without having to restart the game!

The character voices were excellent. Garth and Drox had me rolling on the floor. The imps and dwarves were great too.

On my Windows XP Pro system, Athlon 2000, 512 megs of RAM and a 64 meg Geforce 4 Ti 4200 board the game ran great, I had no technical problems at all, not even an occasional drop to the desktop. I only played with the last patch.

Picking up items should be easier, at times it was a real challenge to pick up items or open cupboards. Pathfinding was good, but not great. Closing doors/gates was a real pain.

Quests were TOO EASY to break! I understand that some quests will always be broken if a NPC gets killed or if some other scripted event takes place, but in this game quests were broken due to NPC's not dropping an essential item when killed, or dropping it into a wall, or a scripted event that fails to take place. There should be some ingame system (see Might and Magic) for retrieving important items that have been lost or sold and finishing quests that somehow got broken. I did the Stormfist castle part fairly early in the game and when I went back much later to get the Dragon Shield it was gone and it had been days since I had first been there. It took me hours of real time to locate it again. If NWC could implement a system to retrieve lost quest items back in M&M 6, you could do it in the next DD release.

This is just my opinion, but I also feel that major items, i.e., Dragon Armor/Holy Item, should not have randomly generated stats. Why do this when you KNOW that we're just going to save/load until we get the best stats we can. I hate doing this but probably spent at least an extra 2 hours rerolling armor/weapon stats. I think it's silly to get a major piece of quest armor or a quest weapon, have it be total junk on one roll and a god weapon/armor on the next. Please consider making these items have set stats.

I thought the graphics and sound were great, the music was also excellent also. I loved the fact that Quicksave rotated between 2 slots. I like the fact that my allies go on fighting after I've been killed, that's a nice touch.

Get someone who speaks english as a first language to help you with the translations next time, for the most part it was ok, but there were quite a number of small goofs, while this doesn't hurt anything, it makes it look like an unpolished product. Can I have a better manual please? With more explantion of spell effects, weapon/armor stats and potion effects? I never did figure out what some potions did or what some of the stats did.

I think different classes should be restricted from using weapons/armor/skills of the other classes. Why should a 98 pound mage who's had his nose buried in books all his life swing a heavy two handed sword effectively as a 250 pound hulking barbarian warrior? And vice versa, why should that barbarian warrior be able to cast spells like a 600 year old mage? And a Mage should not be able to wear some armor types either just as a warrior shoudn't be able to use high level magic items. Oh, let the mage swing a sword if he wants, just make sure he's not very good at it or cuts off his foot if he persists. Let the warrior cast minor healing spells, but if he's foolish enough to delve into major destruction/summoning magic he should get his butt handed to him. Restrictions should also apply to the survivor class, he's a thief/assasin, not a barbarian warrior or mage. Choosing a class, just like choosing a good/neutral/evil alignment, should have consequences, otherwise what's the point?

Don't think from the above suggestions that I didn't like the game or won't buy the next one. I never make suggestions to developers on games I don't like. This message ran so long because of how much I do like the game. Once I started playing DD I think I played at least 5 hours a session until I completed it. I'll buy DD 2 also.

One more thing, I've read many posts here requesting multiplayer support. That's fine and I don't care if you add it in the next game, but don't neglect those of us who don't play multiplayer games. We want and are willing to pay for great single player gameplay and have no desire for multiplayer.

Keep up the good work!
