Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) General Stat boost not from equipment

I've noticed that my mage character has a +60 vitality boost that
does not arise from her equipment. Anyone know where this comes
from? That is, besides equipment, what delivers a boost?

I don't remember where exactly but someone in the first act you come across a shrine and in the shrine is a book that raises your vitality 60 points permantly and I had my deathknight pick it up.

Ahh, I remember that thing. I thought it had hurt my vitality because I
saw the health bar drop. Thanks for the reply.

The health bar looked like it dropped because your Maximum Health increased but your Current Health didn't. What it did was get bigger and now you can fill it up more!
