Liked war of the worlds too
And in my opinion, it has a more logical and realistic ending then most other alien movies, when you think about it.

Too bad only there are some impossible things in the plot

2001 was whorse .

He did something simillar about US after some "big disaster", where everything was destroyed (like in whaterworld). He became a postman in that movie. It was just as bad . Don't see it if you get the chance...

one of the worst movies i saw in recent years was a disaster movie, where the earth stopt spinning, and they had to go to the core of the earth to detonate some nukes over there...
-the beginning was ok, but then ..what did the writer smoked that day?

or jeepers creepers.. cliché all the way.

I know I have long ago. I've read The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings (part 1-3), the Silmarillion, and the Unfinished Tales.

To stay on subject...

I really liked the way they did the special extended editions. They did a good job of putting the stuff from the books into the extended movies (as best as probably could be done I think ). Sure there are things they could have done differently, but don't we say that about all movies based on books?

Killerzzz

P.S.: MeaCulpa, doesn't your name mean "My fault"?

@Gal yeah I guess but nothing absolutely NOTHING beats Dungeons and Dragons ... well not yet anyway (oh and I didn't mean the movie, that was just sad)

@Killerzzz Roughly translated ... yes it does

Since I just started playing BG (again, will try to take it more serious this time), I can say that there IS things that beats D&D. Espessially the old system. And I still think the Arcanumsystem was good . Fallout's system worked too...

i have read the reviews & they say the movie's very good; no clear distinction on good/bad, white/black; everyone has a reason for what they did. i saw a bit of it but yet to find the time & mood to really sit down & watch it.

The movie wasn't that bad, was it? It was, you know, weird and not too amazing.

I like to think of it as 'not good, not bad, watch it once and enjoy it, but never watch it again'.

I speak a bit of Spanish. Took 2 years in highschool.

We watched two movies in spanish. We watched 'Frida', a movie based on the life of the artist 'Frida'. It was not bad, but it's not a movie you recommend to others. She had a fascinating life... a very odd life...

We also watched 'Mary, Full of Grace'. It was another not bad movie, more likely to be recommended to others than 'Frida'. It actually had a pretty good story.

You should take a look at the fav lyrics thread, I posted a song Mea Culpa from Enigma. I had hoped that Mea replied on it with some witty thoughts

Yea I saw that, good stuff.

BTW, I just saw the movie 'The Shining'. I know its an old one, but I never got around to seeing it. Jack Nicholson is crazy! I liked the movie; had some interesting stuff to it (especially Nicholson's awsome acting).

Thanks a lot Janggut I hope I can get my hands on that one, it looks like a real masterpiece.
I saw "Hero" a few days ago again and also "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon". My next film on my list is "The House of The Flying Daggers".
To me Martial Arts is like dancing in the sky, or lighty flying throught the sky, like elves.

I watched Stepford Wives tonight. I really enjoyed the ending. Nicole Kidman was wonderful.
