Finally saw Crash. Good movie, but certainly not briljant.

Final Destination 3. That is a great movie. I liked the first two, even though they had a really dodgy plot. I went into this one knowing that the plot would be dodgy and loved every minute of it.

Last night we watched Alexandra's Project. It's an Australian movie and reminded me of Saw in some ways. It's about a guy who has it all. His jaded and depressed wife prepares a very elaborate and enlightening birthday present for him that changes his life forever. I don't want to say much more for fear of spoiling it.

well, as an X-men fan (I've read the commic's)
I was dissapointed about the movie.
the only thing this movie had was the special effects.
but the whole movie -storyline- was just plain terrible

a few I didn't like.
that helmet of juggernout (one of my favourite baddies)
WTH was that? it look like it was made of isolation foam!
phoenix, who had no real story line then just standing there and made her moves
the white neutralisation kid, who didn't play a big role in the movie.(atleast for me)
wolverine who just brutaly kills people off. (ok that wat he is, but the movie shows him like he is a real hero instead of a dark beast)
etc..

yeah, X3 does disappoint me as well, bean. a few issues not far off from yours;

1. no emotional connection to the characters, which makes it worse than the second. the first is the best in my opinion.
2. it's really nice to have so many characters in the movie but TOO many with TOO little time on them, it's a sin. they might as well be excluded.
3. i like the storyline; well thought out. however execution is another matter altogether; the dialogues suck monkey balls. hearing the lame lines written for a mature character like Magneto is like hearing fingernail scratching the blackboard.

overall, the movie is one of the decent ones so far this year, which means this year's movies so far have not much quality.

i've also watched 16 Blocks, which is quite a nice watch while not exactly brilliant piece of work. Bruce Willis, Mos Def, David Morse really made this movie shine with their brilliant acting. i love the dialogues in this one. & Mos Def's character, Eddie Bunker, is really good.

also watched a chinese movie called The Promise. this one, i feel, is something Gal would love to watch. it is fantasy set in medieval China, with flying characters with superpowers, sacharine love story bit, flowery dialogues, & gorgeous gorgeous visuals. well admittedly, i am not into love story, much less sacharine types, but the breathtaking setting, location, colours, costumes really help make this movie very watchable.

[color:"orange"]i've also watched 16 Blocks[/color]

If you've seen The Gauntlet, how do they compare? From the commercial I saw for 16 Blocks, it looked like a remake.

the premise does sound very familiar with 16 Blocks. however i don't think i've watched The Gauntlet yet though now that i've watched 16 Blocks, the Gauntlet seems an interesting watch as well.

i think i should check it out. anyways, if u want other reviews, u can always check out IGN's review of 16 Blocks, be it cinema or DVD (yep, it's out already).

I don't find him all mighty anymore since his bad talk about the Jewish people and the Holocaust....

Saw Pirates of the Carribean, Dead Man's Chest, was awsome!! Much more action then in the first one, but soo funny too! A must-see!!

I saw Battle Royal. It's about a Japanese schoolclass who gets kidnapped and sent to a desert island. They get a weapond each, then they have three days to kill eachother. If everyone but one is not dead after the three days everyone dies.
