i think i made a few of these suggestions on the old dd boards but here they are 1. fishing would be cool 2. some optional party members rather than doing it all by urself 3. actually able to cook the recipies in game that would be cool and be able to cook meat 4. more interactivity this is probabally the best game ive ever seen for interactivity but it would be really cool if you could pick up and move everything 5. more houses to buy 6. horses? 7. much better char creation at the start like pick your gender your race your apperance your portrait what skills you want at the start ect. 8. more different types of weapon such as club morning star mace war sword flamberedge ect. 9. a weapon in each hand would be really cool well thats it for now but ill add more as i think of them

And the horse should have saddle bags too. 2: But you are the Divine One! Perhaps as an option (rather than a requirement). By putting skill points into skills that let you lead a small army of average people or into skills making you a super-warrior, this could balance well. 5: One in each town, perhaps? 7: Too much will make the game slower, more buggy and bigger. Perhaps just male or female, and you get 5 free Stat points and 2 free Skill points. 9: Yes, definately. But you are highly penalised until you reach level 5 in Ambidexterity.

2 other suggestions: 3D and a better method to create the savegames, allowing to save faster and make the savegames smaller

well maybe not 3d because i really like the detailed 2d thing horses with saddelbags is a good idea also i dont think a better char creation would make things much more buggy all i ment is that you could go elven dwarven a gnume ect and all it would affect is the way your character would look and some of the character reactions towards you and how about a fatiuge system at night you get tired and need to sleep perhaps even be able to set up a camp also a hunger thing would be nice so that food doesnt just heal hp

Fatigue and hunger are a good idea. I think that the game should keep the beautifully rendered 2D world, perhaps with 3D creatures, Sims style.

ok, but that doesn't mean that 3D can't be detailed and nice as well. it's just how you implement it what counts

and how good you pc is.. 3d games need a better pc, and not everyone has 1.. always very important to consider, being a developer.

Just about everything, it requires stronger pc's wich not everyone has and most games lose their charm. Most of the rts's games of today get bored after 5 minutes because of all the zooming, and spinning, and camera angle's, it's confusing and it sucks. Well I wouldn't mind a 3d engine if the camera position would be fixed with only zooming as option.

Like I said, It's how you implement it that matters, I also don't like the zooming and spinning because usually the controls are more complicated and those controls can be used for other stuff. fixed camera, maybe a bit of zooming and more detail. besides, you don't need a stronger PC for it... a bit ofcourse, but it's just deciding what features you'd like to implement or not, like bump mapping and such, it's not necessary, take freelancer, sweet game I can play it at max detail level and I have a AMD 1Ghz, 256RAM, Geforce2 with 32Mb
So less detail is good for slower PC's and the gfx won't be that much worse. also, the amount of RAM that game uses is SOOOOOOOOOO low and with that amount of detail... I still can't figure it out, only 1 reason comes to mind: VERY GOOD ENGINE
a demo I DL'd the other day, don't know which one anymore used SOOOO MUCH RAM, it blew my socks of and it loooooked so crappy !!! I remember, it was Postal 2
PURE CRAP, okay a demo still needs tweaking, but amount of RAM usage won't be screwed back THAT much I think

Viper, You know my puters have RAM problems. But I have to agree with both of them. 3D just isn't there yet. It looks simply awful on most games I knew in 2D and that have a 3D version now. Asaghon is right. Some make you dizzy trying to get an angle. Becouse the devellopers are so proud of their new 3D game...if you only touch your mouse, trackball or whatever, you're suddenly looking at things from above or behind you or every other angle except the one you need. And lets face it. Most of the characters look like a wooden doll with an engine in them that gets low on fuel regularly. 3D is fun to play around with. But not fun to play a game in (yet). Most just loose all perpective becouse the developers went way to far and overdo it.

2: But you are the Divine One! Perhaps as an option (rather than a requirement). By putting skill points into skills that let you lead a small army of average people or into skills making you a super-warrior, this could balance well. Hmm... As long as the AI is good enough (which means that they shouldn't act like Ian from Fallout) it wouldn't be a problem for me. But now you mention the skill-thing; maybe a system like Arcanum would be good? There the amount of party members you could have was limited by the CHA(risma) you had. That was one of the beauties of the game for me: you could perfectly play through the game without being good at any fighting at all... that's a true role-playing spirit But then again, hack 'n slash and party members don't go too well together... so I don't know if it would be a good idea. For the next project I'd throw the hack 'n slash part away anyway As for the skill system: what I'd like to see again is the original skill system for Divinity, with some extended features. Throw away the level-thing. Where you just gain experience and can choose which skill you want to invest it in. Every level of a skill needs a certain amount of experience. I liked that
From far, from eve and morning and yon twelve-winded sky, the stuff of life to knit me blew hither: here am I. Now -for a breath I tarry nor yet disperse apart- take my hand quick and tell me, what have you in your heart.

Hyrrix, you DO know that in fallout 2 the number of partymembers you could get to join you also depended on your charisma..:)
