Currently you cannot train beyond a 5 skill. That's fine. But how about allowing items to go beyond the limit. This allows for more powerful characters to be developed, provided of course they are lucky enough to acquire the right items. The Skill Plate then would have to be changed to show skills above 5 and their benefits. Also I would imagine you want to look at and rearrange what skills are available on which types of item slots as there are 11 slots and you probably don't want to support 16 (5 + 11) skill levels. This of course may change the balance of the game a little where areas or bosses should probably get beefed up too.

i think it would be a good idea to make it able to get higer skill lvls as well.

maybe even weithout needing items.
And maybe more visual changes when a skill goes "lvl up"

What about giving a bonus if a character gets all the skills in one path, too? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I could have been very happy not knowing that. "Game over, man! Game over!"

yes, on the old forum there was a lot of talking on the subject.
i've read somewhere that it was taken out of the game at the end of the production.
