I have started playing Divine Divinity for the very first time a few days ago and I came across a problem I can't quite figure out. Basically, I can't get the Lizard people teleportation scroll from Goemoe. I know he probably has it, because everytime I try to talk to him in the Blue Boar Inn there is a option which says something like "Hey G! You're a lizard, do you know anything about the scroll?" but everytime I click on it, there is no response from him and I can then only choose other questions like "Can you heal me?" etc. Is it a bug or do I have a low approval with him (I think I have -16, because I accidently tried to steal from him in Aleroth)? If the latter is the case, how can I have a higher approval with him? And what to do if the former is the case?

I wish my memory were better - I have a feeling that there is something you have to do to trigger a response. Any tasks left that have to do with healing, maybe pertaining to the illness in Rivertown?

Well, I still haven't dealt with the plague in the Poor Quarters and I think there is a quest in which you need to find Goemoe, because he's missing?
Maybe after those two quests he will respond?

You need to heal both patients in Aleroth in order to get Goemoe to give you the lizard teleporttion scroll. Since the healers have moved, it sounds like you did not do that.
FWIW, there is only one teleporter pad activated by the lizard scroll, in an area you will not need to return to once it is cleared.

But I DID heal both soldiers in Aleroth. I've completed every quest that can be done in there (except the murder of George). After that I talked to the General in the Barracks, she provided an escort for the healers and now they're all just chillin' at the Blue Boar. So that isn't the problem.

Do you still have older saves? If you load the oldest save you have after first meeting Zandalor and learning about the teleporter pads, will Goemoe give you the scroll then?

If you load your latest save, trade with Goemoe and give him a bunch of stuff, does that make a difference? Just give him all your gold, and maybe high value items to get his opinion up; if that helps you can reload and use trial and error to figure out the minimum amount needed to boost his opinion enough to give you the scroll.

Well I'll be damned. I indeed only needed to give him some high value stuff and the opinion would go up
I now finally have the scroll
