The XP for the Phase Spider Matriarch seems way too low, at 3rd Level I can get 50 XP for each party member when I kill a Goblin Brawler which has 20 odd hit points. Killing the Matriarch with 140 odd hit points I get 15, I got more from killing the brood it summoned. The Challenge Rating for the Matriarch must be higher than the Goblin, with the number of hit dice so the XP should be adjusted accordingly.

I think the reward for it is disappointing.
The best about it was the epic encounter itself.
But if you think about it carefully - the is not that impressive.
If you steal the Wolfrune from Rath or safe Halsin, we can get a of equal worth.

And my "Robe dude" will never use anything else but Magic Missles anyways, even without the famous headpiece augmenting this spell.
