That should be 2002 gold, Rimmer's ale and the rope from the treasure cave. Do you have the Silver Breastplate? Did you make sure there was no extra rope or gold in your inventory, perhaps obscured by a chest or something else large in your inventory?

When the Larians were balancing the game they decided the Dark Forest was a little too big, and cut off the south east corner with a river. The house there was originally intended to be Boratus' but he got moved to a more central location.

I won't post any images but there are plenty of interesting things around Verdistis. Inaccessible of course, but there are some caves and houses. It's possible to get there using teleporter stones though. It's possible to get to area with Imp we need for Council of Seven (North East corner of map). Areas under Verdistis keep some secrets too, normally inaccessible.
