I apologize if this has already been posted, but:

I wish we had a choice in bashing barrels or not when a weapon is in ones hand. I was keeping a lot of items to sell in a barrel, and like a knuckle head, I forgot I had my weapon in my hand and bashed it, when I went to put more stuff in it.

Has anyone else experience this?

Why not to keep your inventory in a chest???
I wouldn't like if each time I wanted to knock a barrel, I was asked if I want to break it or open it. What if there are 25 barrels in one room?

The chests I was using got so full it became difficult to find anything anymore. That is until I met up with Geoff the Blacksmith and sold almost everything to him. It was nice to finally have a decent amount of gold.

I can't move my storage chest anymore. There's too much food and potions in it.

Joking was one of the things I didn't have in mind while answering.

yeah, i was storing stuff in a barrel outside geoff's place (no chest readily available, for all you smartmouths out there ), and i must have busted four or five barrels before i just started throwing it on the ground. you can still use broken barrels, though. i think.

Yes, broken barrels may be opened/treated like while ones - it just looks messy - I had a cemetary of bashed barrels, cause I forgot to take off combat action.
Kiya

And I had a battery of chests, too - including disappearing ones (weight bug).

I did it once and couldn't be bothered moving the 315 items into a new barrel. I have a nice large pile of wood that I keep my belongings in. I was getting too many items to throw on the ground. I've now got a second chest that I kepp stuff that I want to sell, but waiting for Geoff to have cash.

Also, I pulled a couple of chests out of the Aleroth Catacombs and after I picked them and emptied them, they vanished! They're still there in a sense. The mask for them appears when you load a game and you cannot walk through that space, but I cannot see or interact with them.

Yeah Kiya I had a disappearing chest too. It was one of those chests that turned to weight "0" when it was opened. I left it open and stuck it in my inventory hehe. But whenever you moved stuff in it it was affecting my weight, kinda weird! Then I placed it on the ground and clicked to shut it, *poof*! Had to reload game, doh.

Hmm... Never had that. I stored everything I had inside the cabin in the Dwarven Forest... The one with the treasure which turns to rocks... I brought some chests from the Cursed Abbey. Sometimes I forgot to close them but I didn't have any problems.

Since I told you my secret location, you must forgive me, but I have to kill you all.

Weight bug: I was encumbered and had both chests in my inventory. Then I dropped one (weight 500 = was chest in chest) - clicked on it = poof.

If you kill us, Death - I'll try to do the same to you

One suggestions: Don't use chests or barrels just have all your items in your inventory the messed way they are. Even when (near the ending of the game) I had 1500 lb of potions I carried all of them in my inventory yes I had to return to the orc guy more then often but I had the teleporter stones who cares The only time I used a barrel was when I found the halberd of the rock and stored it in a barrel not sure if it was a quest item or not. If it didn't drain my stamina I would have kept it in my backpack too. Warrior rules

My chest weighs more than my maximum weight, and I've beefed up strength faster than any other attribute. You need a stash sometimes, prefferably near the merchant.

I think that goes back to my other gripe: "Stay a while and listen!"

Think of it as you need to be calm down first. You're full of adrenaline when you have a weapon readied and your likely to smash anything you can. Press C to Calm down first and then open the barrell. I think restricting the players actions and putting words in their mouth like that is too much.
