After finishing Baldur's Gate 3 I had a conclusion: Larian is the PERFECT developer to make a Vampire: The Masquerade game.
They did a FANTASTIC job with Baldur's Gate/D&D, imagine the amazing game they could make with VTM? VTM universe/lore is INSANE! My favorite, more than D&D.
Imagine..

- Semi-open world, hubs or large maps like BG3
- Robust character creation
- Vampire races/clans to choose
- Robust customization (Unique appearance/outfits/styles for each clan = Ex: https://imgur.com/gallery/pRUE9px)
- Disciplines (Unique powers for each clan)
- Great writing, choices and consequences
- Lots of content, freedom and possibilities like BG3

I don't know how this works, but VTM is now owned by Paradox, is there any way for Larian to get the right/permission to make this game? I can't stand any more mediocre and bad VTM games! This RPG deserves an ambitious game, LARIAN SAVE VTM!

100% agreed. Probably not gonna happen, it was difficult enough for them to get rights for a DnD game, but it's a nice thought experiment.

Yeah it would have been great.

VtM is much simpler than D&D, too. And it would be all in a single game. And they could add their own physics trickery nicely, too, no problem.

But Paradox owns White Wolf now (since 2015 actually), so big titles based on VtM will most likely only come from Paradox.

And Paradox does the Paradox thing and you only get a simple base game at release. Then everything else will be published one by one per DLC.

For example we already know that Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 will initially only have four clans: Brujah, Tremere, Ventrue and Banu Haqim.

Wanna play Toreador, the artist vampires ? Wait for and buy a 30 dollar / euro DLC.

Wanna play Malkavian, the vampires with insanity, but alos with insights into the future ? Wait for and buy a 30 dollar / euro DLC.

Wanna play Nosferatu, the ugly clan of stealth ? Wait for and buy a 30 dollar / euro DLC.

Wanna play Gangrel, the animalistic vampires ? Wait for and buy a 30 dollar / euro DLC.

Congrats, you paid 60 dollars / euros for the base game, and 120 dollars for the extra clans, to get to the number of clans that VtMB1 had. Well, granted - plus Banu Haqim.

And if they add even more clans, they also will cost another 30 euro / dollar.

New content will also cost another 30 euro / dollar.

Then they may do a 10 euro / dollar DLC or even free DLC every once in a while for smaller things, too.

So you will be easily playing 300+ euro for the full game.

Summary: Meh. I'll rather just keep playing VtMB1, if you dont mind.

About Larian, well they'll make a science fiction game next. I'm curious what that will be.
