Yeah it would have been great.
VtM is much simpler than D&D, too. And it would be all in a single game. And they could add their own physics trickery nicely, too, no problem.
But Paradox owns White Wolf now (since 2015 actually), so big titles based on VtM will most likely only come from Paradox.
And Paradox does the Paradox thing and you only get a simple base game at release. Then everything else will be published one by one per DLC.
For example we already know that Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 will initially only have four clans: Brujah, Tremere, Ventrue and Banu Haqim.

Wait for and buy a 30 dollar / euro DLC.
Wanna play Malkavian, the vampires with insanity, but alos with insights into the future ? Wait for and buy a 30 dollar / euro DLC.
Wanna play Nosferatu, the ugly clan of stealth ? Wait for and buy a 30 dollar / euro DLC.
Wanna play Gangrel, the animalistic vampires ? Wait for and buy a 30 dollar / euro DLC.
Congrats, you paid 60 dollars / euros for the base game, and 120 dollars for the extra clans, to get to the number of clans that VtMB1 had. Well, granted - plus Banu Haqim.
And if they add even more clans, they also will cost another 30 euro / dollar.
New content will also cost another 30 euro / dollar.
Then they may do a 10 euro / dollar DLC or even free DLC every once in a while for smaller things, too.
So you will be easily playing 300+ euro for the full game.
Summary: Meh. I'll rather just keep playing VtMB1, if you dont mind.
About Larian, well they'll make a science fiction game next. I'm curious what that will be.
