You will deal with the ones responsible for that mind-control spell later.
I decided to run away.

And after you have dealt with them, will the mind control cease ?
And what's the name of the spell you're referring to? is it some special thing or could it be learnt through the normal skill system?
thanks again

The skill is charm, it can turn your enemies to be your friend, but again I haven't tried it yet, so I am not sure if it works and which level would be required

We don't actually know what kind of Spell this is. We can only see what happens and deduce from that that this must be a spell.
I have heard that the mind-control gets lost after some time, but I don't know much more about it.
The people controlling the soldiers ... - well, that is a long story ...

Venom, the decision - to kill or not to kill - is up to you. NO reputation loss. You could want to choose and take all XP by killing or just avoid the camp until you've defeated one of the Big Baddies later in the game. Kiya

I wouldn't go antagonizing orcs; even the lowliest peon orc in DD is worth more XP than a human soldier, and the elite troops are worth a crapload. I got bored wiping out the mind controlled soldiers; they were like experience point popcorn -- sure they were easy to eat, but they weren't very filling, and after a while, you just got tired of 'em.
If you want a cheap laugh, get a few shadow potions, lure a giant heavy orc into Mitox's camp or the barracks, and then go invisible. All of the guards following your bruiser buddy will go down like wheat in front of a thresher. No wonder they needed you to go blow up their supply train and poison the well; if you had refused, the entire human army would have been slaughtered by the first orc they encountered! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Oh, and we should all be grateful the Imps moved to the wastelands. They could easily slaughter us with a thought.
You will rue the day you opposed me! Begin your rueing! I'll just... sit over here... and watch.
